There is nothing more rewarding then spending a summer day working in the yard - after hours of planting, trimming, pruning, raking and weeding, try treating yourself with this refreshing cocktail that blends Happy Boy basil with the tart and refreshing flavor of lemon and gin.

INGREDIENTS

6-8 Happy Boy Basil leaves
*1 oz simple syrup
1 oz lemon juice
2 oz gin (We prefer Hendricks Gin)
Club Soda

PREPARATION

1. In the bottom of a shaker, muddle basil leaves, lemon juice and simple syrup until basil
aroma is released.
2. Add gin and three ice cubes; shake till there is a light frost on the outside of shaker.
3. Strain and serve over ice. Top off glass with club soda.
4. To garnish- cut lemon wheel and/or a few leaves of basil.

* Simple Syrup
Combine equal parts sugar and water in a saucepan; bring to a boil and let sit till cooled.
